Role Overview: As a Bartender at Lajitas Golf Resort, you will be responsible for serving beverages to guests and members in a manner that is friendly, courteous, and prompt. The position demands a high level of professionalism and an ability to engage guests with charm and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a well-stocked and organized bar daily, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, and other bar necessities.
- Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner, promoting drink and food specials, and ensuring the quality of drink recipes.
- Process checks accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Ensure correct portioning of all drinks served to maintain consistency and quality.
- Participate in monthly staff meetings to stay updated on resort news and policies.
- Uphold the high standards of Lajitas Golf Resort in both personal appearance and overall demeanor.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bartender is essential.
- Familiarity with Micros or other similar POS systems is highly desirable.
- A knack for engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Additional Information: This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Given the resort’s remote location, having reliable transportation is advisable.
