The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is currently hiring a Park/Historic Site Superintendent VI to oversee Davis Mountains State Park, located off Texas Highway 118 North in Fort Davis. This full-time position offers a monthly salary between $7,701.98 and $8,701.98, and the application deadline is October 29, 2024.
The park superintendent will manage the preservation and operations of the state park, including the adjacent Indian Lodge and Black Bear Restaurant. Key responsibilities include overseeing staff, managing budgets, protecting cultural and natural resources, and coordinating community outreach efforts.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and six years of relevant experience in resource management, education, or public relations, with at least three years in a leadership role. Preferred candidates will have experience managing concessions, budgets, and volunteer programs.
