Javelinas on Holland Gift Shop, known for its boutique clothing, accessories, and local souvenirs, is set to move to a new location at 101 W. Holland Ave, the historic former site of Dimestore Cowgirl. The business, currently located at 202 W. Holland Ave, plans to open in the new space on September 7 with a grand opening celebration.
The move comes after the business owners, Jennifer Harrod and her team, secured a lease with an option to purchase the new building, which aligns with their long-term commitment to Alpine. Harrod expressed excitement about the opportunity to rejuvenate downtown and preserve the history of the building through extensive renovations.
Renovations at the new location have included significant updates, such as new electrical work, lighting, glass, signage, fresh paint, flooring, and displays. These upgrades are aimed at enhancing the shopping experience while maintaining the building’s historical integrity.
To support the renovation efforts, Javelinas on Holland will host a special fundraising event on August 24 at their current location. The event will feature a 50% off sale on remaining clothing items, a succulent bar for creating custom pots, discounts on custom trucker hats, and a tattoo artist offering small tattoos. Additionally, a parking lot sale will help clear out products to make room for new inventory.
“We really started thinking about how we could help rejuvenate downtown after the fire on Memorial Day weekend,” Harrod said. “We’re so excited to share the new location with everyone and appreciate the support we’ve received since we opened.”
Leading up to the grand opening, the shop is offering special VIP deals. Starting August 17, customers who show a specific social media post in-store can pre-shop the 50% off sale early. Additionally, gift card promotions are available, offering customers a bonus with every purchase.
