Ferguson Motor Co. Storefront Reopens After Tornado

Ferguson Motor Company, a beloved local coffee shop and community hub, has reopened its doors after a devastating tornado struck the town on June 2. The shop, which operates in a former Ford dealership, resumed business earlier this week on June 14.

The tornado caused significant damage to Ferguson Motor Company, but the owners were quick to assure the community about their safety. “Hey folks. I’m sure the news is spreading. Sanderson hit by a bad tornado this evening. We are safe and sound. And it appears most everyone in town is safe. The shop took a hit. Salvagable but a road ahead of us. More details and news tomorrow. We love and appreciate all of you and your support,” the business posted on social media shortly after the tornado.

Despite the challenges, the owners have worked diligently to restore the shop. Known for offering coffee, food, beer, wine, art, local goods, and serving as an events venue, Ferguson Motor Company is an integral part of the Sanderson community.

The reopening of Ferguson Motor Company marks a significant step towards normalcy for the residents of Sanderson, who have shown resilience in the face of adversity. The shop’s return is not only a testament to the hard work of its owners but also a symbol of the community’s strength and unity in the aftermath of the tornado.
