The Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute (CDRI), also known as the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center & Botanical Gardens, is excited to announce its much-anticipated Annual Cactus and Succulent Sale. This exclusive event is scheduled to take place over two days, starting today, Monday, March 11, 2024, at their grounds located at 43869 TX-118, Ft. Davis, TX, just 4 miles southeast of Fort Davis off of HWY 118.
The sale will feature a remarkable selection of over 40 different species and varieties, including the Claret Cup (Echinocereus coccineus), Mexican Lime Barrel Cactus (Ferocactus pilosus), and the visually striking Purplish Prickly Pear (Opuntia macrocentra). In addition to individual plants, the CDRI will also offer a range of curated succulent container gardens, perfect for adding a touch of the desert to any home or office.
The CDRI’s Annual Cactus and Succulent Sale not only provides a platform for gardening enthusiasts to find rare and beautiful plants but also supports the Institute’s mission as a nonprofit organization dedicated to desert research and education. Visitors can also take this opportunity to explore the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Center & Botanical Gardens, which offers a deep dive into the rich biodiversity of the area.
