On Saturday, February 24, the Presidio Volunteer Fire Department, in collaboration with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) and instructor Ruben Camacho, conducted a comprehensive training session for Firefighter 1 & 2 certification skills testing. The event saw participation from several volunteer fire departments, including the City of Presidio Volunteer Fire Department, Bomberos Voluntarios Col. Nueva Holanda, Ojinaga Bomberos Voluntarios, and Bomberos Municipales, highlighting the spirit of cooperation and mutual aid among the firefighting communities in the region.
The training, aimed at enhancing firefighting skills and preparedness, was supported by instructors from the participating departments who assisted Mr. Camacho in both instruction and supervision roles. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment of these departments to continuous learning and improvement in firefighting techniques and safety.
