Sul Ross State University (SRSU) is currently in search of a qualified individual to fill the position of Center for Big Bend Studies Program Coordinator. As the Center for Big Bend Studies Program Coordinator, the selected individual will play a vital role in managing the preparation of high-priority and sensitive materials, exercising independent judgment in a wide variety of routine and complex office decisions.
Key responsibilities of the position include assisting in office operations within the Center for Big Bend Studies (CBBS), handling incoming communications via phone and email, and directing them to the appropriate staff, faculty, and students. The Coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining administrative fiscal records, managing the Marketplace online store, handling travel arrangements, and processing financial transactions, including the receipt and deposit of funds.
Additionally, the Coordinator will be tasked with maintaining employee files, operating computer systems for word processing, spreadsheet applications, and database management, and managing budget reports for multiple accounts on a monthly basis. The role also involves various tasks related to grants management, donor relations, fundraising, and public outreach.
Working conditions for this position include standard office hours, exempt from overtime provisions, with occasional fieldwork required to meet with landowners or donors.
