The Sul Ross State University Rodeo Team is bucking the trend in social media engagement, outperforming even the university’s main page and popular sports platform. According to data from Crowdtangle, a Meta competitive metrics tool, the rodeo team’s online presence has surged in recent months, with their Facebook page amassing significant interactions despite fewer posts compared to other university-affiliated pages.
In the past three months, the Sul Ross Rodeo Team posted a modest 47 times, yet their content garnered remarkable engagement. With 10.0K followers and an impressive increase of 3.8K in the last 90 days—an astounding 62.02% growth—the team’s digital footprint is gaining momentum. The rodeo team’s Facebook page saw a staggering 15.4K interactions, including 13.6K reactions, 378 comments, and 1.4K shares, showcasing the depth of audience engagement. Even on video content, where engagement can be particularly competitive, the team’s 46.9K views surpassed both the university and sports pages.
While Sul Ross Sports boasted 6.1K followers and the university’s main page claimed 9.5K, their interactions pale in comparison to the rodeo team’s impressive metrics. Sul Ross Sports managed 11K interactions, 323 comments, and 1.2K shares, while the university’s main page garnered only 4.9K interactions, including 303 comments and 776 shares.
