In a heart-wrenching incident that unfolded just two days ago, Bob Stamps of Terlingua lost his home to a devastating fire. While the blaze consumed his residence, Bob and his beloved dogs were safe in town. On the morning of November 21st, at approximately 7:35 AM, emergency responders from Tender 4 and Brush 1 rushed to the scene of a structure fire on Terlingua Ranch. Upon arrival, they were met with a distressing sight – a single-story dwelling fully engulfed in flames and shrouded in thick smoke.
The dedicated firefighters swiftly sprang into action, battling the fierce blaze with determination and skill. Their efforts resulted in the successful containment of the fire, sparing neighboring properties from harm. It took approximately 400 gallons of water to extinguish the fire completely. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported during the operation, and all firefighters returned to service unscathed.
Bob Stamps, the homeowner, was not present at the time of the fire’s ignition, which remains undetermined as the investigation continues. While the loss of his home is undoubtedly devastating, the outpouring of support from the community offers a glimmer of hope in this challenging time.
