Sul Ross State Cross Country Team Achieves Strong Results in Angelo State Blue and Gold Classic

The Sul Ross State University cross country teams demonstrated their mettle in the final regular season meet at the Angelo State Blue and Gold Classic in San Angelo, Texas. Competing in a field of small yet competitive teams, both the women’s and men’s squads put forth commendable performances.

Women’s Results:

The women’s race featured a total of 18 runners, representing five teams. In this challenging field, Reagan Ramsey of Sul Ross State secured a remarkable top-10 finish, clocking a time of 29:02.7, which earned her the 10th position overall. Toni Mishnick followed closely in 13th place, achieving a time of 34:36.9. Kylie Garcia and Veronica Castaneda demonstrated their determination, finishing 17th and 18th, with times of 43:48.0 and 47:57.0, respectively.

Men’s Results:

The men’s race featured a larger field of 25 runners. Denton Taylor represented Sul Ross State with a strong performance, finishing in 20th place with a time of 36:16.3. Salvador Cobos claimed the 22nd position, completing the race in 40:38.8, while Ian Wubbena secured the 23rd spot with a time of 44:05.5. Joseph Rangel and Cameron Ball displayed their determination, placing 24th and 25th, clocking times of 50:20.7 and 51:43.5, respectively.
