Mexican Artist Miguel Valverde Showcases the ‘Roots of Life and Death’ in Presidio

Renowned Mexican artist, Miguel Valverde, will be unveiling a Dia d los Muertos-inspired collection of artworks in an exhibition titled ‘Roots of Life and Death.’ The exhibit is set to take place on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 6 pm at the Presidio Municipal Development District Office, located at 608 W O’Reilly St, Presidio, TX 79845.

Miguel Valverde, an artist hailing from Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, has made a significant impact on the global art scene. Born in 1980, he honed his craft at the Institute of Fine Arts of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua. Valverde’s artistic prowess has graced galleries and public spaces not only in Mexico but also in Germany, Austria, Belgium, and the United States.

His talent has earned him prestigious accolades, including participation in the David Alfaro Siqueiros Creation Stimuli Program and the 2019 Professional Excellence Award presented by Rotary International Cuauhtémoc. His significant contributions to the cultural landscape of Chihuahua have solidified his position as a cultural icon in the region.

In addition to his artistic pursuits, Valverde has also played a vital role as a cultural manager, contributing to the growth of artistic production in Chihuahua and beyond. His current cultural projects span from Mexico City to the border area between Chihuahua and Texas, reaching as far as Brussels, Belgium, and Vienna, Austria.
