Lightning Strike Disrupts Local Radio Group’s FM Stations, KALP and KVLF FM Currently Offline

A lightning strike has disrupted FM radio transmissions in Alpine, leaving listeners without their usual favorite stations, KALP and KVLF FM, as well as online streaming. However, there’s still a way for locals to tune in and enjoy their favorite tunes, thanks to KVLF’s dedicated team.

Station personnel have been working diligently to resolve the situation, and they anticipate having the FM broadcasts and streaming services back up and running by Wednesday. This proactive approach ensures minimal disruption to Alpine’s radio enthusiasts.

As a temporary measure, KVLF 1240 AM is keeping listeners entertained with a diverse selection of music during their “Afternoon Cruise” program. This includes country music, along with other genres, ensuring that there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Listeners are encouraged to call in their song requests at (432) 837-1240.
