U.S. Customs and Border Protection Extends Invitation to Fall 2023 Virtual Career Expo on September 6th

As part of its ongoing efforts to bolster its workforce, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is excited to welcome aspiring individuals to apply for roles within its distinguished team of more than 60,000 dedicated federal employees. The Fall 2023 Virtual Career Expo, scheduled for September 6th, serves as a prime opportunity for interested candidates to explore various career paths encompassing both entry-level and experienced positions in law enforcement and professional domains.

The event offers a platform for prospective applicants to engage in insightful discussions with CBP recruiters, delving into the intricacies of potential roles and career trajectories. Live information sessions will be available to provide valuable insights into the hiring process, veteran opportunities, and the array of benefits that CBP offers. The expo will kick off with information sessions at 11:15 a.m. EDT, followed by a dedicated session focused on law enforcement prospects at noon. An enlightening panel discussion, featuring CBP law enforcement officers and agents sharing their personal experiences, is scheduled for 1:15 p.m. Moreover, for those with aspirations of becoming a Border Patrol Agent, an exclusive “Become a Border Patrol Agent” session is set to commence at 2:30 p.m.

The agency is offering a recruitment incentive of $10,000 and an additional $10,000 for agents who complete a two-year tenure at a designated remote location. Additionally, CBP is employing direct-hire authority to streamline the recruitment of highly qualified applicants with diverse backgrounds for roles such as Air Interdiction Agents and Criminal Investigators.
