Art enthusiasts are invited to commemorate the arrival of artist Miguel Valverde’s illuminated artwork, “Latido de Luz,” at its new permanent home in Marfa. The event, scheduled for 6:15 PM next Friday, will be held at the Glitch Gallery, a unique establishment that merges the physical and digital worlds of art. Valverde’s piece, which was previously displayed at the Ruidosa Church last year, is set to grace the Other Side, the dedicated exhibition room located behind Glitch Gallery. The gallery, founded in 2022, thrives at the intersection of Marfa, Texas and the digital world, positioning itself as an analog space for digital objects.

Valverde will present a talk at the Glitch Gallery detailing the history of “Latido de Luz” and its relationship with the Ruidosa Church restoration. The talk will be followed by a viewing of the piece inside the Other Side. The relocation of “Latido de Luz” to Marfa highlights the town’s vibrant art scene and commitment to hosting diverse works of art, both digital and physical.
For those interested in attending, the Glitch Gallery is located at: 108 E. El Paso Street, Marfa, TX
