After being forced to close its doors due to the pandemic, The Ritchey, a popular live music-focused bar and restaurant in Alpine, TX, is set to reopen. David Keller, along with Front Street Bookstore proprietor Anne Callaway, purchased the building and are in the process of refreshing the venue with the help of local artisans. Despite the updates, the spirit and atmosphere that Alpine had come to love will still be very much present at The Ritchey.
The refreshed establishment will be operated by Trans-Pecos food and beverage veterans Mateo and Ariana of Alpine’s Cedar Coffee and Sam Savinoha of Marathon’s French Co Grocer. The reopening of The Ritchey is eagerly anticipated by the local community, who are excited to once again enjoy live music and the atmosphere that made The Ritchey a beloved spot in Alpine.
