The School of Constructive Arts is offering a workshop on earthen vaults, taught by the master earth builder Jim Hallock. This workshop will provide an introduction to soil testing and compressed earth block, as well as a study of earthen roofs, arches, vaults, and domes. Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in the construction of a 10-foot span barrel vault roof. The workshop is taking place on Saturday, April 15th, and Sunday, April 16th, at the School of Constructive Arts in Alpine, TX. Breakfast and lunch will be included on both days, and the cost for locals in the tri-county region is only $150.
