The Granada Theatre is hosting an educational and interactive event on Sunday, April 30, 2023, to support wildlife conservation efforts in the Chihuahuan Desert. The event will feature a joint presentation by The Nature Conservancy, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and the McDonald Observatory on preserving the natural beauty and biodiversity of West Texas’ Chihuahuan Desert.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a range of activities, including Chihuahuan Desert trivia, coloring pages, and wildlife bingo. Additionally, there will be a table displaying skulls, tracks, and furs for a more immersive learning experience.
As the sun sets, participants will embark on a dusk-time hike up Hancock Hill to witness the mesmerizing beauty of the Chihuahuan Desert at night. The event is open to the public, and attendees can expect to gain insights into the collaborative work of conservation organizations in safeguarding the unique flora and fauna of the region.
The Granada Theatre, a premier events center in Alpine, Texas, is excited to host this event and encourage attendees to connect with nature and learn more about wildlife conservation efforts.
