Students from Alpine Independent School District earned placements at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo livestock auction, the district announced.
Wyatt Renfroe placed fourth with his Class 2 Southdown lamb and 12th with his Class 5 goat. Leddy Wood placed ninth with her Class 3 goat, and Brooklyn Hendryx placed 12th with her Class 2 Southdown lamb.
The students were among the exhibitors representing Alpine in the annual livestock competition and auction, one of the largest youth livestock events in the state.
School officials congratulated the students, celebrating their accomplishments and highlighting the district’s strong tradition of agricultural education and livestock exhibition.
