The City of Presidio is accepting sealed bids for the purchase of a 3.21-acre tract of land at 800 West O’Reilly Street, with the goal of attracting commercial development that provides both value and jobs to the community.
The property, consisting of all lots in Block 2, Russell Addition, was appraised at $460,000 in November 2023. The City Council will award the sale to the bidder offering the “best value,” which includes both price and the bidder’s proposed development plans. Proposals that bring employment opportunities will receive greater weight.
The land will be sold “as is” by special warranty deed, with buyers responsible for closing costs, environmental liability, and any required remediation. Successful bidders must deposit $5,000 in earnest money upon acceptance and execute both a purchase agreement and development agreement with the City.
Sealed bids must be delivered to City Hall, 507 W. O’Reilly Street, by 2:59 p.m. on October 10, 2025. The bids will be opened and read publicly at 3:00 p.m. that same day, with the winning proposal considered by the City Council on October 22, 2025.
