Fort Davis NHS Continues Summer Evening Series with Adobe and Apothecary Talks

Fort Davis National Historic Site’s 2025 Summer Evening Series continues at Davis Mountains State Park with two more Saturday ranger-led programs this June.

  • June 21, 6:00 p.m.“Adobe: More Than Dirt”
    Learn how adobe shaped frontier architecture, culture, and survival in the arid West.
  • June 28, 6:00 p.m.“Pills, Potions, and Poisons”
    Discover how 19th-century medicine blurred the line between cure and catastrophe.

All programs are held at the Davis Mountains State Park Interpretive Center and are free for visitors with a day pass or camping reservation.
